At Holy Covenant, we strive to nurture connections between people, whether they’ve already stepped through our doors or we haven’t quite met them yet. We believe all people are worthy of our love and of God’s—regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, ability, or any other group or category they might belong to. Here’s how we act out that ideal.
We celebrate life together by bringing people into smaller communities of belonging and friendship. Through sharing life, spiritual practices, eating together, and having fun, participants experience care, ministry, and love—and learn to see in each other the image of God. Our small groups run in cycles throughout the year; view the current schedule.
At Holy Covenant, we feel a special responsibility to share the love and hospitality of Jesus with the youngest members of our community. Every participant, parent or not, shares the burden of nurturing the next generation. The children and families committee offers weekly Sunday school during the 9:30 service, time for Young Christians during every worship service, Vacation Bible School and other family events in the summer, a children’s Christmas pageant, and small groups and other educational and support opportunities for parents.
Bowling night, an art museum tour, a concert, or a movie in the park. We’re a people that like to play together. Social events help us bond and offer a chance for learning and sharing. Holy Covenant’s community life committee organizes opportunities for fellowship throughout the year. Check the calendar for the next outing or join our Facebook group.
We are a reconciling congregation, part of the Reconciling Ministries Network, a growing movement of United Methodist individuals, congregations, campus ministries, and other groups working for the full participation of all people in the United Methodist Church. Whether you are gay or straight, Republican or Democrat, life-long Methodist or seeker, you are welcome here.
