The Holy Spirit is always moving through our lives. At Holy Covenant, we recognize that there are certain times and places where the presence of God is more apparent. We offer a variety of ways to connect, inquire, and learn.
Maybe you’ve been with us at Holy Covenant once; maybe you’ve been with us several times. Maybe you’re looking for a church home and want to join us; maybe you’re not even sure this church thing is for you. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you’re invited to discover more about Holy Covenant. After late worship one Sunday a month, join Pastor Kate for lunch. The food’s free, you’ll have a chance to meet other folks, hear about our ministry and mission, ask questions, raise objections, and dive deeper. Check the calendar for the next lunch or e-mail Pastor Kate.
Opportunities for Christian education and spiritual development abound at Holy Covenant. Some are run through our small group framework, while others are stand-alone opportunities. Our spiritual formation committee leads the congregation’s life-long journey of discipleship: experiencing, knowing, and growing in God.
Lay people play an important role in each Holy Covenant service. Volunteers are always needed to read scripture, recite prayers, and serve communion. Training is available; get involved by e-mailing worshipleadership@holycovenantumc.org. Greeters and ushers are also needed every week. Register online or e-mail greeters@holycovenantumc.org for these opportunities.
Holy Covenant’s leadership structure involves a variety of groups and committees that oversee the programs and operations of the church and implement our strategic map. Our official election of leaders occurs in the summer at a special church conference. However, there are ways to plug in at any time of year. Current leaders and those interested in what leadership involves should check out the leadership toolkit; e-mail Pastor Kate if you’re interesting in the deeper involvement that comes through serving.
