Tired of cliché gifts, endless traffic, and stressful mall crowds during the holidays? Enjoy a joyful, and more meaningful way to give!
At the 4th Annual Alternative Giving Fair, adults and kids can all learn to make fun, creative, and low-cost gifts. This year’s event will include many “upcycled” projects, to re-use things that we might otherwise toss, and instead turn them into beautiful hand-made gifts. Craft stations will include cookie mix, dog treats, soup mix, candle luminaries, cardboard tube ornaments, bottle top magnets, cork planters, coasters, spiced nuts, root beer, t-shirt scarves, and more. There are projects for all ages and abilities! “Ready-hand-made” gifts will also be available for purchase. Let us know you’re coming on Facebook.
Donations will be accepted in cash, check, and credit card. All proceeds from this year’s Alternative Giving Fair will benefit The Crib, part of The Night Ministry which serves homeless youth in Lakeview. Learn more about The Crib.

The AGF team is also scouting for volunteer helpers! There will be two “make-ahead” days on Sun Dec 2 & 9 at 11:30am (right after the morning service). Set-up will take place on Fri Dec 14, in the early evening. Day-of is Sat Dec 15 from 11:00am-3:00pm; we’ll need runners, station helpers, and clean-uppers. No matter how much time you can give, it will be helpful and MUCH appreciated! Email Emily Davis Arthurs with your interest and availability.
