Mission Projects
Our goal is to serve our neighbors near and far, stand against injustice and oppression, and practice God’s transformation and restoration of the world. Throughout the year, Holy Covenant’s mission team offers hands-on congregational mission days and social justice education and action events. One of our projects: a short-term mission trip to Iowa Memorial Day Weekend.
SERVE FOOD WITH THE NIGHT MINISTRY – Sat, May 12
On Saturday, May 12, prepare a hot meal for 40-50 people and then transport it to The Night Ministry’s Wicker Park stop. We will meet at the church at about 7:30 pm to cook together then drive to Wicker Park to meet The Night Ministry bus at 10:30 pm. We will serve the Night Ministry guests in the park and be done by about 11:30 pm–it’s a late night but sure to be a fun evening of serving the community! Email us if interested.
Dignity Diner After Party (Third Tuesday of every month)
To continue to support Dignity Diner this year we have started to host after dinner activities with our diner guests. This means you now have the opportunity to work with Dignity Diner in a new and fun way! In January we hosted an art activity and had 4-5 guests stay for it and then in February we had 14 guests participate so we know people are excited to stay and join in the fun! We are looking to for 2-4 volunteers to help facilitate two activities per month – an art activity and a Bible Study. Upcoming opportunities to serve are Tuesday, May 15th and Tuesday, June 19th. ABC Party – UPDATE!

Dignity Diner Table Drive – Update!
One of Holy Covenant’s biggest missions endeavors is supporting Dignity Diner in our space every Tuesday night with a served meal for our neighborhood homeless population. We’ve recently had guests that have had to stand on the side of the church to eat their meal because there previously hadn’t been enough room at the tables so we’ve just completed our first ever Dignity Diner Table Drive and it has been a wonderful success! We’ve exceeded our goal and as a result were able to purchase 7 great new round tables and 3 long banquet tables for Dignity Diner! Thank you for ensuring that there will always be room at the table for all people at Holy Covenant!
